School holiday club in London

Thirteen weeks of school holidays a year against roughly five weeks of annual leave. Holiday club exists to close that gap without your child spending six weeks on a screen.

Short answer

A holiday club provides full-day childcare during school holidays for children aged four to eleven. Earnest Care holiday clubs run 08:00 to 18:00 through every half term, Christmas, Easter and the summer break, with themed weekly programmes, outdoor time every day and local trips.

What do children do at holiday club?

Each week has a theme, but the theme is a frame rather than a timetable. Children choose what they join. The one non-negotiable is that everybody goes outside every day.

Sport and physical activity

Football, athletics, dance, parachute games and whatever the local park allows. Enough movement that they sleep well.

Making and building

Junk modelling, den building, sewing, woodwork with proper supervision, and the kind of large-scale mess that is difficult at home.

Trips out

Local parks, museums, swimming, the library. Ratios tighten on trip days and you are told in advance where they are going.

Cooking

Real cooking with real ingredients. Children who have made a meal themselves eat things they would otherwise refuse.

Free play and downtime

A quiet room with books, cushions and no requirement to be enthusiastic about anything. Holidays should include rest.

Friendship across ages

Mixed-age grouping with older children given real responsibility. It is good for both ends of the age range.

When does holiday club run?

Booking and fees

From £00 per full day, with a discount for booking a full week. Snacks are included; children bring a packed lunch. Trip days occasionally carry a small additional charge, always stated when you book, never added afterwards.

Summer places go quickly - most of our August capacity is booked by the end of May. Booking opens for all holidays at the start of each academic year.

Frequently asked questions

What ages is holiday club for?
Our holiday clubs are for children aged four to eleven, from reception through to Year 6. Children are grouped loosely by age for some activities and mixed for others.
Do I need to book a whole week of holiday club?
No. You can book individual days, though a full week works out cheaper per day and gives your child more continuity with the group and the weekly theme.
What should my child bring to holiday club?
A packed lunch, a refillable water bottle, a sun hat and suncream in summer, a waterproof coat in winter, and a full change of clothes. We provide all snacks and activity materials. Please leave devices at home.
Do you run holiday club during the summer holidays?
Yes, throughout the six-week summer break, as well as every half term, Easter and Christmas holiday. Summer places are the first to fill - most of our August capacity is taken by the end of May.
